Thai House Restaurant in Arlington, TX
Ah, Arlington, TX…the antithesis of Austin…Here, I ask a resident, “What is your favorite non-chain, local restaurant?” And - after a loong pause - he responds, “…Non-chain?”
I found three blog articles about the best Arlington restaurants, and they all mentioned pretty much the same places. Nothing looked too enticing, until I read about Thai House Restaurant.
We love our Thai food, and we have some favorites in Austin that are pretty fantastic. But the review made Thai House sound pretty good, and Yelp confirmed.
So we made it our celebration spot for our 33rd monthiversary, which is today! We weren’t disappointed. Did I mentioned it’s located all of four minutes from Treetops Carefree RV? Dangerous.

Love the pleasant interior! Date-worthy
The storefront is nothing to look at, but inside it’s attractively cute with pink napkins on all the tables. The servers (who are very kind) wear Thai garb, which adds to the ambiance.

Cheese Rolls - wonton paper filled with cream cheese
Our meal consisted of Thai tea, Cheese Rolls, Pad Thai and Panang Curry with chicken. We enjoyed all of the above! Eric even managed to get extra lime wedges with his Pad Thai, despite the National Lime Crisis.

Pad Thai with shrimp
Lunch entrees were in the $7-8 range, with dinner entrees in the $10-12 range. The menu was quite extensive, with all the traditional favorites. Our dinners also came with a complimentary, chilled salad. Simple, but so good!

Love me some Thai tea
While I can’t say this is the best Thai food I’ve had ever, it was really good. And I love how convenient it is to Treetops, which is where we’ve always stayed in the Arlington area. In a city devoted to chain restaurants, it’s refreshing to have another go-to, local favorite. Add this to boba tea at Bethany (also just up the road) and Tex-Mex at Mariano’s (farther away, by Six Flags, but absolutely awesome).
Huzzah!
Thai House Restaurant is located at 3701 S. Cooper St. Suite #131.

Cutie patootie!
